Technologies & Special Services:
Greenleaf Corporation is an industry leader in the development of cutting tool technology. Specializing in the manufacture of high performance inserts and innovative tool-holding systems, Greenleaf Corporation provides the best tools for virtually any machining application.
In the 1970’s, Greenleaf pioneered the use of CVD-coated carbide inserts by developing the world’s first, best performing, whisker-reinforced ceramic insert, WG-300®. In addition to offering over 34 carbide and ceramic grades in a wide variety of geometries and styles, Greenleaf also provides unique surface treatments and special engineered inserts for nonstandard applications.
Milling – Whether it’s heavy stock removal in forged steel or high-performance profile milling in hardened materials, Greenleaf milling cutters are proven to increase productivity. For added flexibility, most Greenleaf cutter bodies are designed to accept ceramic or carbide inserts. They are manufactured from alloy steel and heat-treated for strength.
Turning & Boring—Available in a wide variety of styles for all common insert geometries, Greenleaf’s industry-standard turning and boring tools are precision machined and always up to date with ANSI/ISO specifications. Greenleaf also offers a selection of standard turning and boring tools that feature tool geometries specially engineered to provide maximum productivity and tool life when using Greenleaf’s advanced ceramic insert grades.
Heavy Turning – From initial heavy roughing to the final pass on cast iron or forged steel, Greenleafengineered roll lathe tooling gets the job done. Greenleaf’s heavy turning expertise is the result of decades of design and builds for major roll lathe manufacturers and roll turning shops around the world.
Grooving, Profiling & Cut-Off – Greenleaf’s toolholding system for groove, profile and cut-off applications is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. With the ability to use either ceramic or carbide inserts, the system features a ‘V’ bottom pocket design for superior insert stability and unsurpassed support. An expanded interchangeable support blade systemnow includes Capto and KM quick-change shank options.
Indexable Drilling – The Holemill™ indexable drill with the free-cutting designed SPMT insert reduces horsepower requirements for quiet, efficient holemaking. Greenleaf high-performance coated-carbide gradesprovide higher speeds and longer tool life.
Special Engineering – Greenleaf proudly offers special and custom engineered products. Customers from around the world utilize Greenleaf’s engineering services to address their specific, and often complex, requirements. In addition to specially engineered tooling systems and a comprehensive line of carbide inserts, Greenleaf offers high-quality ceramic and ceramic-composite materials, which can be custom-designed for specific machining applications.
