Sandvik Coromant Co. (www.coromant.sandvik.com) says its CoroGrip pencil collets are particularly useful for mold and die shops because they can reach into deep cavities and pockets and machine-challenging areas without compromising part accuracy, repeatability or stability. The pencil collets are available for endmills with shank diameters of 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm.
The company also says its Corogrip power chucks are good for high-speed machining because of their high clamping force and stability, and, when coupled with CoroMill Plura endmills, they provide minimal runout and high precision.
