Rouse-Arno VHM face grooving inserts are for small diameters and deep depths.
The Rouse-Arno VHM series of face grooving inserts from H.B. Rouse & Co. (www.rouse-arno.com) are designed for face grooving any diameter above 12 mm (0.472 in.) with groove depths to 40 mm (1.575 in.). Made of solid, micrograin carbide, the AK-40 grade is for machining aluminum, brass, copper, plastics and hightemperature alloys. The grade has a high-temperature coating for machining steels, stainless steels and cast steels. The ground inserts are available in widths of 2, 2.5, 3 or 4 mm and can be made to special sizes. They can be used in a shop's collets or in 0.75-in. or 1.00-in. shank Rouse holders.
