T he Nobur JB Back-Chamfering tool from Cogsdill Tool Products Inc., Camden, S.C. (www.cogsdill.com) performs back-T chamfering, deburring and back-counter-sinking operations. The company points out that the tool pilots in the hole for precise eccentricity, while rigid support of the cutter in the bore prevents tool deflection. Radial depth-of-cut is controlled by a micrometer-stop adjustment; a stop collar regulates chamfer location.
Standard pilots and cutters are available for hole diameters from 0.188 in. (4.74 mm) to 0.75 in. (14.28 mm) and special pilots and cutters are also available.
