Kaiser Tool Company (www.thinbit.com) offers its line of Groove 'N Turn inserts both with and without 7° cut-off lead angles and with either right or left hand cutoff angles. The company says this line of inserts offers customers a standard insertable solution for applications that require clean cut-off edges on workpieces.
Groove 'N Turn parting tools with 7° lead angles are available in groove widths of 0.025 in., 0.045 in., 0.062 in., 0.085 in. and 0.115 in., and can be used to cut-off workpieces with diameters up to 1.0 in. All of the parting tools, with or without lead angles, fit into Groove 'N Turn-style toolholders, so the same toolholder can be used with multiple insert styles. These tools, along with the entire Thinbit line of cutting tools, will be on display at IMTS 2006 in Booth Number E-2758.
