IMTS 2012: Creating a Safer, Healthier Work Environment with 'Clean Machines'
LNS America will be displaying its line of "clean machines" at IMTS 2012 in Chicago next week. These eco-friendly machines were designed to provide clean, safe environments that safeguard worker health while reducing costs and improving productivity.
The first of these machines, the Turbo MH series filtering chip conveyor, efficiently handles almost any kind of chip, including fines, broken, coarse and stringy chips of mixed materials. Internal filter boxes use patent-pending technology to self-clean, making the machines maintenance-free for unattended operation.
The series includes the Turbo MH250, which provides 250-micron filtration, and the Turbo MH500, which provides 500-micron filtration. These filtration systems help reduce coolant costs, which lessens the impact of waste oil on the environment. It also dramatically decreases machine coolant tank maintenance and extends pump life.
Also in the "clean machine" line is the Fox WX series oil mist collectors -- powerful air filtration systems that eliminate oil mist and smoke. Five filtration models in the series with capacities ranging from 170 to 1250 CFM are suitable for all machine types and machining processes using water-soluble, synthetic or neat oil coolants, while 2500, 5,000 and 7,500 CFM versions are ideal for large machining centers or for connecting multiple machine tools. All models exceed OSHA requirements to protect worker health and reduce employee absenteeism.
A patented 3-stage filtration system guarantees optimum filter life and an optional fourth stage EHPT filter for removing 99.97% of cutting oil smoke particles created by machining process down to 0.3 microns.
