Made2Manage Enterprise Business System Version 5.5 incorporates M2M Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC), which lets users replace paper-based reporting and manual data entry with wireless technology.

M2M SFDC retrieves receiving, inventory, shipping, and labor functions at the source for greater visibility within the enterprise, better communications with suppliers and business partners, and overall process improvements.

"The addition of shop-floor data collection lets users maximize their ERP investment by automating the data-collection process, thereby eliminating issues of timeliness, lost pages, and data-entry error. All of these are characteristic of paperbased reporting methods," states Jeff Tognoni, CEO of Made2Manage Systems.

Hardware independent, M2M SFDC supports input-terminal devices from Symbol, Intermec, and Zebra that use a thin-client architecture to collect and transmit data — allowing increased ease-of-use, better remote monitoring, and improved serviceability and cost-efficiency when compared to a client-server system. In addition, the M2M SFDC intelligent login module initiates a user's menu in English or Spanish based on assigned rights for increased security and productivity.
