Also significant, as of December 31, 2014, Embraer listed a backlog of orders worth $20.9 billion. In numerical terms, these are listed as 1,549 firm orders, with 722 options.

Embraer is among the world’s largest aerospace OEMs, producing commercial, military, and executive aircraft, as well as specialty models like agricultural aircraft.

Embraer’s fourth-quarter highlights in the commercial aircraft sector included a new order from SkyWest, a leasing company, for seven new E175 jets to be operated by Alaska Airlines; and and the delivery of its 1,100th E-Jet, model E190, to Aeromexico.

In the business aircraft sector, Embraer’s highlights include a decision by NetJets Inc. to convert 10 purchase options for Signature Series Phenom 300 jets into firm orders, adding $89.55 million in revenue for Q4, and raising the total value of the order to more than $1 billion.

Embraer has delivered 36 Signature Series Phenom 300s now operating in the NetJets fleet, for fractional owners in the U.S. and Europe. Deliveries of the next 10 aircraft will begin in January 2016.

“NetJets’ addition of 10 aircraft to their order reaffirms the success of the Signature Series Phenom 300 and of our relationship,” stated Marco Túlio Pellegrini, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets.
