Harris Corp. has received a three-year, multi-million dollar contract from Boeing to supply spare hardware for the International Space Station’s audio visual display system. The exact dollar amount of the contract was not disclosed.
Harris will supply 12 orbital replacement units that will support audio network routing and control functions. The audio-visual display system is the communications lynchpin, linking the crew to each other and command operations on the ground.
Harris, a Melbourne, Fla. supplier for NASA, previously produced the internal audio system and the internal video distribution subsystem for the space station
