New oil-less technology on Muratec’s Motorum-2044EZ servodriven punch press provides considerable production improvements while reducing both cost of operations and environmental impact.
Lloyd Keller, general manager with Muratec (www.muratec-usa.com), said that Motorum-2044EZ users have reported using 30 percent less power than they would with hydraulically controlled turret punches. The Motorum’s electric punch drive delivers all the advantages of hydraulics without the mess, he added.
Other design innovations include an advanced servomotorcontrolled ram drive, the elimination of hydraulic fluid-driven parts, a low-energy LCD control screen, quick starting with no warm-ups and other customer-focused features.
