Two Spindle, Two Turret Turn/Mill

Machine tools from pg.80 An opposed twospindle, twoturret construction on the Nakamura-Tome WY-250 multitasking turning and milling center, from Methods Machine Tools Inc. (www.methodsmachine.com), features a special upper and lower Y-axis capability for milling or drilling simultaneously on both turrets and a new Super Mill drivetrain producing high horse power and torque for milling speeds to 6,000 rpm.

The machine packs 25-hp and 20-hp (left and right) spindle motors with the Super Mill drivetrain motors on the upper and lower turrets, offering 10 hp 40 Nm. There are 24 rotating, milling tool stations and a 12-station tool turret with half-index capability (48 total) as standard.
