While not always thought of first when it comes to big machines, Haas Automation (www.haascnc.com) has developed a large-capacity toolroom lathe.

The company’s TL-4 sports a high-torque spindle in combination with a 10.81-in.-diameter through hole, a 2.92-ft. maximum part swing over the front apron and a 7.58-ft. distance between centers.
