(www.bmtbohle.com) uses a powerful SHW universal spindle head that offers 5-sided machining and turning with 64,800 programmable spindle orientations, so shops no longer need to select a horizontal or vertical machine because the UniSpeed 5 does the work of both.

The machine’s 35-hp milling spindle runs at 6,000 rpm or 30,000 rpm if it’s a high-frequency model, and machine rapid-traverse rates are 98 fpm with 2-G acceleration.
