Mitsubishi (www.mitsubishi-world.com), a sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing, will demonstrate how this racing champion relies on Mitsubishi’s total product supply chain to cut multiple high-performance race car components. The company will display equipment, available through MC Machinery Systems Inc., such as wire and sinker EDMs, smallhole drills, Roku-Roku high-speed machining centers and waterjets. One wire EDM featured will be the FA20S Advance that sports Mitsubishi’s new M700 control. The Windows-based system, with 15-in. LCD touchscreen, provides a simple menu configuration that allows for easy navigation. And according to Mitsubishi, the FA20S uses the world’s first 3D adaptive EDM adaptive control, which can analyze 3D data and recognize shape characteristics to virtually eliminate transition lines in stepped workpiece areas.
