Enshu USA Corp.’s (www.enshuusa.com) highspeed JE80S horizontal machining center sports a 300-tool matrix-style tool magazine and 18-pallet flexible manufacturing system. A standard dual-contact 40-taper spindle ramps up to 15,000 rpm in 1.9 seconds and generates 24.8 hp at 1,061 rpm. The machine rapids at 3,543 ipm at 1 G acceleration.
