Machine tool builder Hardinge Inc. has acquired Ohio Tool Works L.L.C. for an undisclosed price, expanding its portfolio of machining and workholding products with OTW’s honing, tooling, and abrasive products.
The terms of the purchase were not revealed. The seller is Artemis Capital Partners, a private-equity firm.
In addition to turning machines and grinding machines sold under brands like Hardinge, Bridgeport, Kellenberger, Hauser, Tschudin, Usach, Voumard, and Jones & Shipman brands, Hardinge offers collets, chucks, index fixtures, and standard and specialty workholding devices, and various other machine tool accessories.
Ohio Tool Works, Ashland, Ohio, develops and manufactures vertical and horizontal honing machinery, as well as tooling components and assemblies.
