The British government is attempting to measure how happy its citizens are, says associate publisher and editorial director Tom Grasson. He finds the idea absurd and hopes our elected officials don't waste time creating such a "happiness index." What would make people happy, he writes, would be legislators who tackled corporate tax reform, tort litigation, and regulatory-compliance problems. Cincinnati Lamb sold
Unova has sold the Cincinnati Lamb Group to a New York private investment group. Maxcor Inc., under the entity MAG Industrial Automation Systems LLC, completed the sale for about $60 million. Read more
