Advocating that technology should allow better flow of information from design through product creation, Daratech recently hosted its first annual daratechMVP conference in Novi, Mich. Featuring multi-CAD integration capabilities, the company says, "DaratechMVP provides a skeleton key to the heterogeneous product-lifecycle-management (PLM) environments so prevalent in the industry." As such, it features digital mock-up, visualization, and 3D publishing. One attendee envisioned a future application in which most auto shops would have the software's capabilities, letting mechanics view 3D mockups of an automobile for diagnostics. Manufacturers, too, will devise new ways to use the visualization technology. Visit d For Go to daratech.com for more information.
