Asimco Technologies Ltd., Beijing, has acquired a Michigan company that produces bushings and engine mounts from a special composite material for the automotive industry. The acquisition of NVH Concepts Inc., Livonia, Mich., gives Asimco more manufacturing presence in the United States and adds a composite material to its product portfolio. The powertrain and chassis-component producer says the material from NVH Concepts may replace heavier forged, cast, steel, aluminum or magnesium used in structural components. The material reportedly reduces noise, vibration and harshness in powertrain and chassis functions, improving vehicle quality, performance and comfort.
