Seco Tools Also Offers Two New PVD Grades for a Variety of Milling Products
Feb. 20, 2008
The company said the MK2000 and MH1000 are firstchoice grades for a range of applications in cast irons and hardened steel, respectively. The new grades are offered in Seco’s face, square shoulder, and disc milling product families.
MK2000 is recommended for square shoulder and disc milling for gray and nodular cast irons at low to mediumhigh cutting speeds using a small radial engagement. MK2000 also is designed to perform well in steel and in less stable machining environments such as long tool overhangs where thinner chips make chatter less likely. MH1000 is for milling steels hardened to more than 50 HRc, and for finishing gray cast iron.
