Live Center With Long Lasting Bearing

The new C4T live center from Riten Industries (www.riten.com) has a bearing isolator seal that is designed to triple the service life of standard centers.

The company said the noncontacting frictionless seal will never wear out under normal use that includes demanding service with highhorsepower lathes and grinders and applications involving extreme coolant pressures. In all applications, the C4T has an accuracy of ±.00005-in. TIR.

The bearing isolator seal is a compound mechanical labyrinth with dual flow paths: the inner section retains and re-circulates the bearing lubricant, while the outer path captures outside contamination and expels it through a port.
