High-speed Barfeeders

The Alpha ST 320 barfeeder feeds round stock from 0.120 in. to 0.780 in. in diameter, and the Alpha ST 212 loads small-diameter round bar stock from 0.078 in. to 0.470 in. in diameter. The ST 212 uses a positive mechanical device to advance stock into the loading position where a nylon screw and gravity feed the bar into the machine’s channel to eliminate loading failures.

Both machines, from LNS America Inc., carry, as standard with the ST 212 and as an option with the ST 320, a synchronization system for use with highspeed sliding headstock machines or for running special materials.
