Alcoa said its Alcoa Electrical and Electronic Systems (AEES) business has initiated a restructuring of its Honduran and Mexican operations serving the North American auto market as a result of continued market softness. Toyota To Build Prius In U.S. |
Toyota said it plans to build its Prius models at a plant under construction in Blue Springs, Miss. beginning in late 2010. Prius, will join the Camry Hybrid as the second Toyota hybrid built in North America. Meanwhile, Toyota will move production of its mid-sized SUV to Princeton, Ind., beginning in Fall 2009, and consolidate production of its full-size pick-up truck at its San Antonio plant in Spring 2009. Harley-Davidson To Acquire MV Agusta Group |
Harley-Davidson, Inc. said it plans to purchase the Italian motorcycle maker MV Agusta Group (MVAG). Harley-Davidson will acquire 100 percent of MV Agusta Group shares for total consideration of approximately 70 million euros ($109 million), which includes the satisfaction of existing bank debt for approximately 45 million euros ($70 million). Eaton To Produce Fuel Systems For New Cessna Business Jet |
Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has been selected by Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron company, as the fuel systems supplier for the new, large cabin, intercontinental Model 850 Citation Columbus business jet. The value of the program to Eaton is estimated at approximately $100 million over 20 years. According to Cessna, the first flight is scheduled for 2011. Read More |
