New president/COO for alloys producer

Brush Engineered Materials Inc., Cleveland, has promoted Richard J. Hipple to president and COO. He takes over for Gordon D. Harnett, who continues as chairman and CEO. Hipple is now responsible for all of the company's units, including Alloy Products, Beryllium Products, Technical Matters Inc., and Williams Advanced Materials Inc. He was formerly president of alloy products for Brush subsidiary Brush Wellman Inc. With Hipple's advancement, Brush Wellman has promoted Donald G.
