eMachineShop (www.emachineshop.com), which claims to be the world’s first Internet-based factory, said it has expanded its capabilities to meet increased demand for online design and delivery.
The Internet-based manufacturer added plasma cutting, die cutting and rubber molding to its manufacturing capabilities. The company now offers 21 manufacturing services through an on-line order system.
The web site offers tips and advice so that engineers and non-engineers are able to design and order custom parts at prototype and production quantities.
On the website, customers download free software, draw their part and click to order.
The company says parts will be machined and delivered at a low cost.
