Surftest SV-800 surface-roughness measuring machines are built around a columnmoving mechanism that nearly eliminates load capacity limitations. Their 31.496 X 19.685 X 7.874-in. (800 500 200-mm) measuring envelopes and long-stroke probe arms accommodate crankshafts and camshafts as well as other powertrain, engine, and similar components.

The probe arms' reaches let SV-800s measure multiple cross sections and waviness. Surfpak software functions include straightness compensation that improves X-axis linear accuracy and circular compensation, which increases accuracy of the stylus' vertical movement.
