A compact production laser, the SG-U44, does high-speed, 2D processing of sheetmetal and plate, 3D cutting of preformed parts, and 3D rotary cutting of tube and pipe. With a multi-axis torch, the unit also laser cuts stamped, hydroformed, and spun-preformed parts and handles high-speed 2D cuts and bevels in flat material.
Fabricators can adjust resonators up to 4,000 W for efficient power. Mazak Laser's optional Space Cam software generates NC code from an imported or system-crafted 3D CAD drawing and code for slot-andtab workholding fixtures.
