Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced a new line of abrasive belts that the company says have improved ceramic grains that keep cutting longer. The company says the belts use improved seeded-gel grains that fracture under use along submicron "faults" in their crystalline structures to expose new, sharp cutting edges, and that those grains contribute to wear resistance and provide fast cutting and extended life. The belts are sold under the Norton Seeded Gel (SG) Blaze R980 brand name.www.saint-gobain.com
