Orange County Choppers builds Flow bike

Feb. 2, 2007

Tune into The Learning Channel's "American Chopper" series on Thursday, February 15 and Thursday, February 22 (at 9/8 Central) to see Orange County Choppers (OCC) build a custom chopper motorcycle for waterjet machine manufacturing company Flow International (www.flowcorp.com).
OCC uses Flow's latest 5-axis waterjet technology to fabricate its 3D chopper parts. The shop unveiled and presented the Flow Chopper to the company at the IMTS manufacturing tradeshow last September in Chicago. The Flow Chopper is OCC's first bike to demonstrate the capabilities of the new 5-axis waterjet machining center that can fabricate parts in three dimensions.
OCC and Flow have worked closely together for the past few years since the introduction of the first Flow waterjet cutting machine into the bike shop. To help define the theme of the motorcycle, the team from OCC visited Flow's corporate headquarters and global ultrahigh pressure pump manufacturing plant in Kent, Wash.
