Boeing, Blue Air Agree On Order For Boeing 737-900ERs
Boeing and Romanian low-cost carrier Blue Air announce today an agreement on an order for three Next-Generation 737-900ER jetliners. Earlier this year, the Bucharest-based airline ordered two 737-800s. Today's order is worth $238.5 million at current list prices. The airplanes will be equipped with performance-enhancing Blended Winglets, which improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions by up to 4 percent. Read More

Tyco International Acquires Sensormatic Franchise
Tyco International Ltd. said it has purchased substantially all of the assets of Winner Security Services, LLC for approximately $90 million. Winner is a franchisee of Sensormatic Electronics Corporation in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Read More

General Dynamics Gets $20 Million For Abrams Tank Work
The U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, a contract worth $19.8 million for the purchase of long-lead materials to support the reset of 129 M1A2 Abrams Systems Enhancement Package Version Two SEP V2) configuration of the main battle tank. General Dynamics Awarded Multiple Contracts To Support Defense
General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics has been awarded three task orders by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support Wholesale Program (DMLSS-W). The contracts have a total potential value of $7.4 million over two years if all options are exercised. Read More
