High-performance polycrystalline diamond cutting grade and advanced spring-grinding

Jan. 27, 2006
The CITCO and Gardner Abrasives operations of the Cinetic Landis Grinding Corp. will present several new cutting and grinding products

New Gardner grinding wheels will be introduced at Westec.

The CITCO and Gardner Abrasives operations of the Cinetic Landis Grinding Corp. (www.cineticlandis.co.uk) will present several new cutting and grinding products at WESTEC 2006, including a CITCO Dipax D4 polycrystalline diamond cutting grade and Gardner Abrasives' "Black Magic" disc wheels.

The company says the Dipax D4 is a homogeneous, fine grain material that is suited for fine finishing of aluminum, bronze and precious metals. The new material is designed to provide superior abrasion resistance, toughness and edge integrity for these applications.

The Black Magic disc wheels are designed to increase productivity in grinding a wide range of spring materials. The company says its Black Magic wheels are unique because of a proprietary bond material that has induced porosity and internal lubricants designed to extend grinding wheel life and reduce dressing.

Both the Dipax D4 and the Black Magic discs are designed for ultra-high speed disc grinding of a variety of hard metals.
