Laser Depot (www.laserdepot.net), a new division of Laser Photonics, said it has launhced the first laser rental program in the United States for its FiberTower XP CompactT laser marking system.
The marking systems are available for monthly rental. Until now, the XP CompactT and other systems in the Fiber TowerT Series product line were only available for purchase through Laser Photonics.
The company said it launched the rental program to make state-of-theart fiber laser marking and cutting technology accessible to smaller companies and to manufacturers who were not previously able to afford it.
Additionally, the company said laser rental is appropriate for shortterm projects, and carry no long-term liabilities.
The company said another benefit of trying before buying is that at any point during the rental period, its will apply 50 percent of rental payments toward the purchase of the system.
The FiberTower XP CompactT laser marking system rents for $3,000 a month.
