GT Automation Group plans to invest about $180,000 in new equipment to its Fort Wayne, Ind., facility. The project is scheduled to take place by the end of this year, according to a news release from Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance.

GT Automation Group is a tool and die shop specializing in precision machining, repairs and maintenance, and the design and manufacture of automated production equipment, special machines, controls and metal stamping dies. The company was founded in 2003.

The new equipment includes a CNC table type horizontal boring mill, other CNC milling equipment and cranes. The company will add toolmaker and machinist positions in the process.

GT Automation Group employs approximately 35 people, with its customer base including industries steel, aerospace, automotive, consumer appliance, high technology and medical.
