Vacuum pump for material-handling robots

Piab Vacuum Products has introduced a compact, compressed air-driven vacuum unit for working with robots handling metal sheets. The P3010 AVM has two, builtin vacuum switches for efficient and reliable object handling. The company recommends feed pressure of 45 psi and air consumption is low at 1 scfm or 2 scfm, depending on the size of the pump used. The suctioned volume of air is three times larger, at 3 scfm to 6 scfm. www.piab.com
