The NH6300 DCG horizontal machining center works with a 50-taper spindle that operates up to 10,000 rpm. Rapid-traverse rate is 1,969 ipm with acceleration of 0.53 G on the X, 0.71 G on the Y, and 0.46 G on the Z. Mori Seiki reports that twin-ballscrew drives on the X and Y reduce vibration, and a stable platform increases rigidity on all axes.
