As an important feature of the Magerle MFP 50 grinder, hydrostatic wrap-around guideways used in the Y-axis are reportedly wear-free and offer rigidity and load capacity, dampen vibration, and provide maximum precision and process reliability. The machine table and an added two or three-axis table-mounted indexer provide part movement on the three main axes and permit seven-axis grinding. Machine travels measure 19.69 X 25.98 X 25.98 in. (500 X 660 X 660 mm) and rapids run 790 ipm (20,000 mm/min).
