In carbon-steel applications, Hitachi CS-coated ball-nose endmills last 3 3 longer than TiAlN-coated tooling. CS-coated tooling is well suited for materials ranging from mild steels to prehardened steels to 40 Rc in either wet or dry-cutting operations.
