GKS Inspection Services, Inc., a division of Laser Design, Inc. (www.gks3d.com), expanded its dimensional inspection services with the addition of a Faro portable-CMM articulated arm, the company's third. With the purchase of the new Faro arm, GKS says it can better handle increased interest from its customers for on-site inspection and reverse engineering services in the Detroit area.
The new 12-foot Platinum Faro arm is equipped with a touch probe and a 3D laser scanner. GKS says its system configuration includes Faro's CAM2 measurement software and contact probes along with a Laser Design SLP-330 laser scanner and a high-end laptop PC loaded with Geomagic Studio and Qualify software.
GKS Inspection Services has provided dimensional measurement and 3D laser scanning services for 25 years. The company is based in Plymouth, Mich.
