3rd United Grinding Global Grinding Symposium

May 21st - 23rd, 2014

Past Event:

The UNITED GRINDING Group — which represents the MÄGERLE, BLOHM, JUNG, STUDER, SCHAUDT, MIKROSA, WALTER and EWAG brands — will host its third global Grinding Symposium. The event will offer attendees from around the world insightful technology presentations, detailed technical lectures and intensive networking opportunities.
Fourteen ongoing technology presentations, demonstrating the latest in surface, profile, cylindrical and tool grinding, will be available in English, German, French and Italian throughout the three-day event. The presentations will focus on real-world production situations, including optimized process sequences, flexible and high-precision technology for tool and die making, grinding main and pin bearings for crankshafts, centerless grinding using angular plunging, and super-productive grinding of indexable inserts.
Twenty technical lectures will occur over the course of the event, with each day supporting specific topic areas: intelligent production on May 21, surface and profile grinding as well as production cylindrical grinding on May 22, and tool grinding and universal cylindrical grinding on May 23.
UNITED GRINDING Group AG CEO Stephan Nell said, “More than ever before, intelligent processes and cost-effective production are the key to meeting the current market challenges. UNITED GRINDING brands offer solutions that will enable manufacturers to meet quality requirements and increase their competitiveness and long-term success.”
The Grinding Symposium’s two evening programs at the Bödeli ice rink in Interlaken will involve dinner, unique entertainment and opportunities for attendees to network with one another. Partners accompanying Grinding Symposium attendees will be offered activities, including a boat trip and visit to the St. Beatus Caves, an excursion on the Bödeli Railway, a panoramic experience of the Alps and a visit to the Frutigen Tropical House.
