Developed under Okuma’s THINC program, which brings together more than 25 companies that represent different facets of the manufacturing industry for developing solutions to manufacturing problems, the open PC platform interface consists of a graphical interface and extendable robot controller program libraries and configuration files.
The graphical interface lets operators start and stop robots and move them safely to home or service positions. Graphical windows display information on part data, robot events, input and output signals and other data.
The extendable robot controller program allows programmers to create the code for robots that tend various machines. This feature eliminates the need for complex programming.
