2013 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS)
The 2013 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) is expected to attract a record-high number of exhibitors and visitors from around the world. The biennial exhibition, the second largest of its kind in Asia, has already attracted, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said in a statement. It’s expected that the event will be attended by an estimated number of 47,500 visitors, including 5,500 foreign buyers from Taiwan's major machine tool export markets such as Indonesia, Turkey, Russia, India and Brazil, the statement said.
Founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is the foremost non-profit trade promotion organization in Taiwan. Jointly sponsored by the government, industry associations, and several commercial organizations, TAITRA assists Taiwan businesses and manufacturers with reinforcing their international competitiveness and in coping with the challenges they face in foreign markets.
